Cabot B. Caldwell

Cabot Breckenridge Caldwell passed away in Chicago, Illinois at the age of 41. Born in Orinda, CA, Cabot began his professional career as a broker with Merrill Lynch on the Options floor of the Pacific Stock Exchange in San Francisco before moving on to Group One Trading. He was promoted by the company to manage their Chicago office at the Chicago Board Options Exchange and was eventually made a partner with the firm. In 2000 he realized a long -held dream of starting his own options trading company, Kovell Caldwell, with an old friend and former colleague. Cabot was an active member of numerous management and oversight committees for both the PSE and the CBOE.
He is survived by his mother Sandra Brose Caldwell of Orinda, Robert Breckenridge Caldwell III of San Francisco, his brothers Stephen Brose Caldwell and Zachary Russell Caldwell, his uncle Barry Brose of Piedmont, and his former wife Inger Juhl Caldwell.
Viewing at Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel on August 18, 1-5 PM. Services to be held Monday August 19 at 3:00 PM, St. Stephens Church, 66 St. Stephens Drive, Orinda. In lieu of flower donations may be made to the Delancey Street Foundation, 600 The Embarcadero, San Francisco, CA 94107.
