I moved to Illinois right after graduation, and shortly thereafter met my now husband of 37 years! I have two adult children, Jim (35) and Whitney (32). I have also been blessed with two perfectly amazing grandchildren- Noah - my soon to be 7th grader, and Coraline, who will be two in a couple of months. My grandkids are my favorite people in the entire world!
After marrying in 1981, and having my kids, I decided to go to college. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Central College with my teaching degree. I am currently the lead teacher at Gregory Middle School. I have been teaching 6th grade there for over 20 years and have been directing the Sping Musical since 2002, I love my school!
Bottom line, it hasn't been all sunshine and roses. Me and mine, we have had our share of challenges. But at the end of the day, I know my family and friends have my back - I've been pretty blessed.
While my work and family commitments are keeping me from attending this reunion, I look back on my high school days with great fondness. And frankly, a great bit of relief that I survived all of the fun I had! Please schedule the next reunion one week earlier or later please, and I'll be there with bells on!

I've stayed pretty close to Orinda my whole life. After Miramonte I attended St. Mary's College right here in Moraga. I graduated with a BS in Business Administration and soon thereafter got married and moved to South Lake Tahoe. After a brief stint in banking and surviving 2 armed robberies, I spend most of my working career in government finance. I recently retired from the City of South Lake Tahoe and am now doing volunteer work on a Community Land Trust for the Tahoe Basin as well as peforming some financial consulting for Stanford Camp, located at Fallen Leaf Lake.
We have 3 grown children (2 daughters ages 32 and 29 and 1 son, age 25). One daughter lives in Minden, NV and has 3 children, ages 1, 4, and 6. The other daughter lives in Lafayette and works for a tech company in SF. Our son has spent several years trying to break into the Sports Management job arena. Moving around after college for 4 different jobs got tiring so he is now job hunting back in the Bay Area or anywhere out West.
Between retirement side work, doing things with kids and grandkids, and visiting my parents, who are still in Orinda, I keep very busy. I love Tahoe and can't imagine being anywhere else.
Regretfully, I am unable to attend the reunion and reconnect with everyone. I enjoy keeping in touch with some of you and hope I can attend the next one. All the best to everyone and thank you to the committee for the hard work organizing this event. Looking forward to reading other updates and seeing pictures from the weekend events.

My husband and I are only five minutes off of I80 on the way to Truckee. We feel like we're back in college in this neighborhood (Winchester.) Only now we have time and resources to enjoy all the fun activities here... golf, pickle ball, tennis, swimming, hiking, rafting. Drop in to say hi on your way to Tahoe anytime!

Had a few ups and downs with my life...I have three amazing children Katie, Tracy and Bryan. Tracy blessed me with three beautiful children, Jose,Stephanie and our miracle child Gabriel . I am living in Sacramento and still working at Newman LASIK center .
I try and travel home to Oz as often as I can. I want to spend as much time with my sister as I can....we only met when I was about 36.
My oldest daughter Katie is an amazing woman whose job I truly don’t understand, but I know that I’m proud of her and her accomplishments!!!!!! My son Bryan is in the Navy and I’m so proud of him!!!!!!!
I’m hoping to catch up with you all very soon!!
Until then,
Cheers!

I decided to leave LA after living there for the last 10 years and moved back to Portland in 2022! I'm still working full-time in creative services/advertising/marketing and traveling whenever I can! I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in June 2023 ... and now to decide which mountain to climb next?!

hello to all!
I am living happily ever after in San Jose, working in an Independent Studies high school, and making quilts for fun.
Yes, The "then" photo is only a couple years old, but I wore that dress in high school! It made a great Halloween costume.
I am looking forward to seeing many of you in August.

Retired Family Medicine physician
Comment:
After living in Sweden as an exchange student I attended Cal, majoring in Anthropology. Through some circuitous paths, I ended up in medical school in Seattle where I ultimately settled and practiced Family Medicine for 25 years. I did the whole gamut, delivered babies, took care of hospital patients and all ages of family members.
Now I am fortunate to have been able to retire, and my husband Randy and I have settled on the Big Island of Hawaii where we cultivate fruit, enjoy our pets and swim in the pool or ocean every day, and are active in our community. And no, the Kilauea volcano has not affected us much at all.
We have 4 children between us, all grown up, but no grandchildren yet. It was a privilege to grow up in Orinda, and I have many fond memories of my childhood there.
