Lee Hays (Hays)

Marital status: Married
Occupation: New Accounts
Comment: I live in Sothern CA now but I have lived in Sacramento. Alamo, San Francisco, Woodland Hills , Now Port Hueneme CA is my home. I work for a Financial Planning Co which is great because I share my dads passion for the industry.  I could also be close enough to visit him in his new community of La Quinta CA.

The only setbacks I can note are my mother and sisters passing way too young. I'm married with no kids. I have been fortunate to earn an International Sweet Adeline gold medal singing with Harborlites Chorus based in the Anahiem area. I direct a small chorus called Channelaire in Camarrillo, CA. I am hoping to make it to the wonderful events you have organized but right now there is a conflict with a work event. I wish everyone the best if I do or don't see you!

Karen Howard (Hail)

Marital status: Married
Children: 4
Occupation: Freelance writer/editor/PR
Comment: After Miramonte I headed to BYU in Utah, and also spent a couple of semesters in Hawaii. Since then I've lived in Arizona, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, but my husband Flint and I now are settled in the Houston, Texas, area.  I have two daughters and two sons (Jordan, 32, Lara, 30, Stephen, 25, and Matt, 18). Lara made me a grandmother last fall when Emelie was born, and, oh yes, I'm also step-mom to Eden, 18, and Dane, 16. Yup, that's SIX!!  :-0

I was a newspaper reporter/editor for a number of years, then the public relations director for a liberal arts college in Massachusetts. I continue to work for the college from home, doing various PR work, writing, and editing projects. Hope to see you this summer!

Comment: Glad you all tracked me down for the last reunion (thanks to my dear friend, Cindy Kahl Lamb) because I graduated a year early and went off to Cal Berkeley, but my allegience is still to Class of '78!

Since CAL, moved to Los Angeles, Boonville, South Bay, then back to Berkeley.  Have had a career as a Teacher of the Deaf and now 20+ years as a Psychotherapist for individual adults and couples.  (Anyone a Peer Counselor with Cindy and I?)  Busy playing and tusseling with my preteen daughter, enjoying my therapy private practice in Rockridge (Oakland), and other forms of simple fun and inspiration:  hiking, dancing, singing, writing...

Thought I'd see you all at the gathering, but I'll be traveling to Oregon to visit Cindy and Greg Lamb, our classmates.  I tried to get them to come to the reunion!  I'd be happy to hear from any of my old Miramonte friends!

p.s.  I'm sad about those who have passed on.  They were all too young!!

Robert Lee

Marital status: Married
Children: 7
Occupation: Embedded Software Engineer
Comment: It's good to reconnect with classmates after all these years.  I went to college in New Hampshire and stayed, landing in Dover.  Dover is between the ocean and the White Mountains. I'm married and have seven children (two girls and five boys) and three grandchildren.  My youngest child just aged out of my healthcare.

I studied Computer Science in college and have been developing embedded software for electriciy meters (aka "smart meters") since 1986.   (I wrote my first computer program in 6th grade in BASIC on the computer at the Lawrence Hall of Science)

I haven't been back to Orinda since my Mom's funeral in 2019.  I'm looking forward to coming back and reconnecting with everyone.
